About The Role
FTI Information Governance, Privacy & Security Practice (“IGPS”) practice is designed to help organizations better manage their information and data compliance needs. FTI Technology’s IGPS practice is a fast-growing practice that has launched several consulting offerings designed to both minimize risk as well as reduce costs associated with the management ofinformation. When combined with FTI Technology’s award-winning software and range of experts around the globe in the area of eDiscovery, this practice provides great strategic value to FTI’s clients.
Delivery of our services requires high level strategic problem solving, meticulous attention to detail, a comprehensive understanding of applicable data protection regulations and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Client engagement projects and work-streams and provide delivery excellence in IGPS engagements
- Lead IGPS assessments covering a wide span of disciplines across legal, privacy, security, records management, data management and IT processes
- Lead development of business case & ROI analysis to support program assessments
- Develop programme and project plan, resource allocation and execution models
- Manage project financials to ensure projects are delivered to budget
- Develop IGPS related target operating models
- Analyse, design and optimise IGPS related business processes via technology and process transformation
- Conduct current state process analysis and develop future state process presentations
- Develop change management planning to key stakeholders
- Align enterprise IGPS related policies, procedures and standards
- Develop stakeholder and user specific training and communications
- Adapt existing industry standards to support engagements & create novel frameworks to meet evolving client needs
- Be client service-oriented to meet client deadlines, including working out of business hours when necessary
- Ability or interest in supporting business development opportunities including development of client proposals
- Responsible for day-to-day client engagement and follow up, interaction with other consultants, 3rd party suppliers, and internal FTI stakeholders.
- Provide coaching for junior members of the practice and development of thought leadership in the IG space
What You’ll Do
You will be working on a range of challenging client engagements leading and managing consultants to deliver projects on time and to budget. You will also support the development of the practice and business development activity.

What You Will Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2:1 BA/BSc degree, or equivalent
- At least one Data Protection and/or Privacy certification (e.g. CIPP, CIPT, ISEB, CIPM) or equivalent required.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent communication and client presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) Fluent at English – written and spoken.
- Legal background, training and experience whether in a law firm or in-house
- Strong technical expertise in manipulation and management of data with ability to quickly learn and operate new tools as required by client.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including an understanding of how to interpret business requirements and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Experience in management consultancy preferred (e.g., Big 4 or similar)
- Foreign language (e.g., German, French) and experience with financial services, insurance, healthcare industries are a plus. Particularly beneficial if have experience with clinical trials and/or broader highly regulated industries.
- Self-starter that demonstrates an ability to solve complex problems with well thought out innovative solutions
- Strong affinity to technology with experience building tools or systems.
- Provide superior client service in demanding, deadline-driven situations
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support the team’s goals above individual goals

Experience:
- Significant Management Consulting experience over at least 5 years related to at least one of the following domains: Information Governance, Privacy & Data Protection, Records management and Data Governance/Compliance
- Experience with global multi-nationals involved in enterprise process improvement or change management providing data protection guidance across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience in operationalising compliance programmes
- Experience in Privacy & Data Protection Consulting
- Experience of data mapping, assessment creation/completion including but not limited to Data Protection Impact Assessments and Transfer Impact Assessments
- Experience in applying formal project management methodologies
- Experience drafting data protection policies, notices and procedures; plus implementation of the same
- Compliance risk management experience and ability to present in a coherent manner to applicable clients
- Track record of compliance management and deployment, including running requirements gathering and associated workshops
- Experience with Privacy management tools such as OneTrust, TrustArc, or equivalent.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with both internal and external stakeholders
